Relationship between Ball Graspability and Run-up during Ball Velocity Acquisition Process

نویسندگان

چکیده

Kinematic parameters during throwing were analyzed to examine whether the absence of run-up before ball release or graspability was associated with velocity acquisition process in 33 participants. Three-dimensional coordinates measured using a motion analysis system eight infrared cameras sampling rate 250 Hz. The captured data computed calculate kinematic parameters. Path analysis, structural equation modeling technique, applied obtained clarify “strength” and “direction” interrelationship among observed because it can detect relationship each parameter complicated theoretical model. When small graspable softballs “without” run-up, center body mass influenced velocity. However, that case, greater backward trunk tilt longer acceleration distance is necessary acquire large non-graspable dodgeballs without and/or “with” horizontal thrower’s positively affected via pull due increased step length. dodgeball accelerated shorter lateral direction, presence did not affect throwing.

Relationship between Ball Kick Velocity and Leg Strength: A Comparison between Soccer Players and Other Athletes

This study compared soccer players with non-soccer players, with respect to the relationship between ball velocity due to an instep kick and various leg strengths. Ten young university soccer players and ten other athletes (non-soccer players) had their instep kick ball velocity (BV) measured with respect to isokinetic leg strength. The BVs from the soccer players were significantly greater tha...

Qualitative Velocity and Ball Interception

In many approaches for qualitative spatial reasoning, navigation of an agent in a more or less static environment is considered (e.g. in the double-cross calculus [13]). However, in general, the environment is dynamic, which means that both the agent itself and also other objects and agents in the environment may move. Thus, in order to perform spatial reasoning, not only (qualitative) distance...

The Relationship Between Maximum Isometric Strength and Ball Velocity in the Tennis Serve

The aims of this study were to analyze the relationship between maximum isometric strength levels in different upper and lower limb joints and serve velocity in competitive tennis players as well as to develop a prediction model based on this information. Twelve male competitive tennis players (mean ± SD; age: 17.2 ± 1.0 years; body height: 180.1 ± 6.2 cm; body mass: 71.9 ± 5.6 kg) were tested ...

Learning Ball Acquisition on a Physical Robot

For a robot to learn to improve its performance based entirely on real-world environmental feedback, the robot’s behavior specification and learning algorithm must be constructed so as to enable data-efficient learning. Building upon previous work enabling a quadrupedal robot to learn a fast walk with all of the training done on the physical robot and with no human intervention [1], we demonstr...

Dynamic modelling of hardness changes of aluminium nanostructure during mechanical ball milling process

In this research, the feasibility of using mathematical modelling in the ball milling process has been evaluated to verify the hardness changes of an aluminium nanostructure. Considering the model of normal force displacement (NFD), the radius of elastic-plastic and normal displacement of two balls were computed by applying analytical modelling and coding in MATLAB. Properties of balls and alum...
